students answer question from curator

Student Exhibit at Museum of Health Care

Is there a connection between a healthy and a healthy mind? This is the question Mrs. Bogle's Grade 5 students explored when they made the Museum of Health Care their classroom for the week. Throughout their week they met guest experts who helped them learn how disease prevention has changed over time, how we build resiliency, and how technological innovation impacts our health. The students had time to explore the collections, and slow down to sketch and journal about objects they were curious about. At the end of the week they had the exciting opportunity to explore the Queen's Simulation Lab to see how medical professionals currently train and prepare for surgery. When the students returned back to school they used what they had learn and their own research to create models of body systems. The models created by the students were on display from January to February 2020.  Check out photos from the exhibit below! student exhibit at museum of health care student exhibit at museum of health care student exhibit at museum of health care
